The bass sounds good, and the amp is very acceptable for the price. You wouldn't be able to get an extremely noticeably better amp for less than $100. Comparing the Pbass to the Jazz bass, the jazz sounds better with the slap technique, and has more variability in tone, but you can't really go wrong with either one. I would definitely recommend this for anyone wanting to learn bass without wanting to spend tons of money. Granted, finding an old used one might be cheaper, but it would be quite difficult to find it. Highly recommended.
