I am very pleased with this purchase. It is the 4th instrument from Glarry I have purchased, and I have never been let down. I cannot imagine a better starter instrument. I agree with other reviews, the bow is a little hard to rosin up, and the fine tuners are a little hard to tune. But these are minor considerations. I agree with other reviews, the bow is a little hard to rosin up, and the fine tuners are a little hard to tune. But these are minor considerations. I would much rather deal with small issues like this than bigger issues. The sound quality and resonance are good. No defects in the finish. The thoughtfulness of including extra strings is a nice plus. I cannot say enough nice things about this company. Not only are their electric basses a superb value, but a fine instrument like this is likewise surprisingly good value for the money. I plan to buy an instrument for a friend too after they tested mine. If you were long term player this one might not be adequate for you but honestly not sure why, it seems to be just fine to me. You would have to pay a lot more to get a tiny bit more quality, in my view. But I am not an experienced player so I wouldn't be the one to really know, just my hunch as a long term electric bass player. My experience is that this company will not let you down. Even the shipping is prompt - and was included in the price, amazingly.
