This violin is wonderful. I have played since I was a child always renting and never owning. Thanks to your company I now own a beautiful violin that sounds amazing and my church agrees that after the right tuning its is perfect. I look forward to buying another for my 6 year old daughter once I get the money saved up

The violin was a really nice violin for the money. I would definitely purchase again. The only negative, which was not that bad is, the case had some mold inside. Not sure if it may have been stored in a damp place but the violin was not effected.

Beautiful and in Great shape and for the price. Relearning how to play the Violin again. In over 40 yrs. The rosin is old and hard. I had to buy new rosin.

Package arrived with everything as promised. You should take their recommendation of taking it to someone knowledgeable to get it setup correctly. Glarry customer service has been responsive and fair in supporting us. Our initial efforts to setup the instrument at home was less than successful, because we failed to spot that the strings were threaded backwards through the pegs. Violin teacher rectified this. The instrument can now hold a tuning. However, the fine tuners do not work and the ...

However, the fine tuners do not work and the teacher diagnosed it to be that the tailpiece is not fitted onto the instrument properly, so the fine tuners cannot affect the tuning as they should. Glarry resolved this with us in a satisfactory manner, and though it can only be tuned through the pegs, it can be played adequately for a beginner. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and would do it again. Please Note: 1. Likely need to buy a different shoulder rest. Could not get theirs to fit right. 2. Their customer service responds in the evenings typically. I was not able to locate a phone number to call them, so all support was done through email.

I like the Antiqued violin a little better and recommend that one first if you can afford the few extra dollars--I will go into those details on that product page. Price-wise neither of them can be beat. This is a budget violin so you won't be playing concerts as soon as it arrives, but it will introduce a beginner to the basics at a VERY low entry price, and from there you can see if it's something you want to continue. It does require some set up before it is playable--but so will ANY budget violin. I recommend you watch youtube videos to learn the right way to set it up. They will show you how to set the bridge, tune the strings and rosin the bow. Setting the bridge is very important, so pay extra attention to that. It's not hard, just an important detail.Tuning is difficult the first time because the pegs tend to slip--however I learned this is a common issue for many violins, and certainly for any budget violin, so I assure you your violin is not defective. Some inward pressure when turning the pegs should work just fine, it did for me. Rosin on the pegs is another possible remedy. The fine tuners work well for keeping in tune--check and fine tune each time before you play, I recommend a phone app. All in all, with a little setup effort this is a great violin for a pure beginner, for less than the cost of 2 months of a student rental from a retailer. Shipping was fast, the case is durable, the violin looks good, and all accessories required for play are included. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and I highly recommend this product for anyone remotely interested in learning to play the violin.

I am absolutely in love with this violin. I bought it for a Christmas present for my goddaughter, I know she will love it. Honestly these sets are perfect beginners. The violin is so beautiful and the bow is perfect. The case feels a bit cheap but it's not about the case. But all together you can't bet the price, I will be ordering more. I did not purchase the 1/8 size. I purchased a full sized 4/4 violin. I am overwhelmed by the quality of this little fiddle. Made of solid wood, the fiddle has a good sound and is easy to play. I had to do a little work on the bridge which was higher than I prefer but that was no big deal. The tailpiece was missing the finetuner for the E string. I could not find it in the case so I swapped the tailpiece for another I had with all four tuners. This changed the sound slightly which I did not care ...

For $34 I got the instrument, a case, a bow, a pitch pipe, rosin cake, extra set of strings, and a shoulder rest. I am just more than pleased. I like this fiddle more than some of my more expensive ones. You might think I am a shill writing this outstanding review, but I assure you, I am not. I would recommend this instrument to anyone interested in trying to play the violin. It's an incredible value for the money. I am seriously considering buying another.

The quality of the violin is unbelieveable!!!!! Perfect!!!! My 9yr old daughter LOVES it! And the price doesn't empty your wallet.
