Great for a starter violin. Took a bit to get the bow working with the new rosin (about 5-10 minutes) but after that it works great. Don't have need for the tuner since I like the one on my phone (gStrings).

Very pretty, came with everything listed. Only issue is the pegs don't go in all the way, and need to be sanded down, so string does not come loose when playing. But overall a great buy.

It is good for a first violin. Needs a good deal of set up and tuning is very hard even with their tuner. I had to go in and get it professionally done.

For a beginner this is a great instrument to get. The case is also very sturdy and works well. Maybe add something to the case so it remains open when you take the instrument out of it. Overall a great buy for a beginner.

Wow I have to say that I don't know anything about a Violin. I've been a drummer for 50 yrs. Wanted to try something completely different. It came Fedex, wow for $50 and everything is included. Looks really nice. Starting to set it up now. Can't wait to learn how to play this instrument. Thank you Glarry Music for having me be able to do this. Highly recommend this company.

The violin arrived last Thursday and I can't stop playing it. I still can't believe that I paid $50 for my violin with all the accessories that comes with it and not to mention the free shipping.. On mine, the fingerboard isn't fully glued to the instrument, but it's staying put, and no rattling or buzzing. I can fix it, but it's fine. The bow is working fine. My sister is an orchestra teacher, and she commented that, while it will always be an inexpensive student violin, it sounds decent. She mentioned that if I purchased a Glasser fiberglass bow for it, I should be fine using it to teach myself to play. I already play the Mandolin, so transitioning to the fiddle is actually an easy transition. I purchased this from Glarry after watching some online videos and comparisons. Also, I wasn't sure if I'd like the fiddle as I've never tried one (I refuse to touch my sister's $15k violin), but this has convinced me to pursue the fiddle, and I will be looking at a better instrument once I am more comfortable playing. This instrument will be given to a budding musician after I replace it. This fiddle was well worth more than what I paid for it. Thank you Glarry for selling affordable instruments that are not junk.

I actually got this for my 5 year old, but the 3/4 size is a bit large for him. However, he loves it, and the quality is great for the price. I enjoy playing it as well! It is just the right size for me, so I'm considering getting him a 1/4 size and keeping this 3/4 one for myself!
