Wonderful playing guitar has great sound and stays in tune as well and a great Moding platform but if your a begginer this guitar will blow you away with excitement I would recommend getting the kit with your Glarry if Left or Right Handed great buy!!

The Glarry GST left Handed was received very quickly. I have several medium/expensive electro acoustics and wanted a cheap electric to see how I got on with it and have some fun. I wasn't expecting much for £75.99, but was really very pleasantly surprised indeed. The packaging was cheap and badly damaged and the cheap free bag was missing. Luckily the guitar was fine. Modified this guitar with a few minor components and adjustments, and I couldn't be happier. Paired with a decent set of pedals, this guitar is comparable with ones that cost triple the price stock, and 5-10 times with the mods that would cost you less than the price of the guitar, which is itself ridiculously inexpensive. The craftsmanship is slightly better than you might expect from a guitar at this price point, and it's more than salvageable with some patience and fine-tuning. In other words ...

Modified this guitar with a few minor components and adjustments, and I couldn't be happier. Paired with a decent set of pedals, this guitar is comparable with ones that cost triple the price stock, and 5-10 times with the mods that would cost you less than the price of the guitar, which is itself ridiculously inexpensive. The craftsmanship is slightly better than you might expect from a guitar at this price point, and it's more than salvageable with some patience and fine-tuning. In other words, rather than poor finishing, what you get is a fretboard that is mostly unfinished, leaving room for customization and the craftsmanship of the wielder. If modding, I definitely recommend changing the stock plastic nut and using a bone one (42mm TUSQ, make sure to get a left-handed nut, mine turned out slanted the wrong way which was not a huge deal, still sounds great after some sanding), changing the output jack (Pure Tone multi contact mono), shielding the interior cavity (copper tape), polishing the fretboard (Dr. Duck's Axwax), sanding the fret ends (a fret file and 180, 400, and 1000 grit sandpaper) then polishing the frets, putting on a set of reputable strings (Earnie Ball Skinny Top Heavy Bottom sound great on it), and disabling the tremolo by loosening the 6 screws on the bridge, opening up the back panel, and jamming a standard 9v battery between the tremolo mechanism and guitar body cavity, then tightening the 6 screws again just enough to hold the bridge back in place (you can discard your whammy bar after this step, and this will stabilize your tuning, you might need to sand a small amount if the body off if the battery doesn't fit initially). Make sure to readjust the action as necessary, tune it up, and you're good to go. You might consider tuners with locking mechanisms and upgrading the pots. I did not do so myself as this would significantly increase cost, however I did swap out the stock wiring for higher quality wires, and this takes care of of the hum alongside the copper shielding. This guitar is an amateur/enthusiast luthier's dream with non of the regrets.

I received my order promptly, but the guitar I received had a neck that had been mounted crooked. Glarry was VERY accommodating, and took care of the issue immediately. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the guitar, and it will need minimal setup adjustment to suit my playing style. I would highly recommend the guitars to my students. This thing is super nice for the price. It's a little noisy when using distortion but I think it just needs foil or copper lining on the inside to cut down on noise. Stays in tune, and feels great. The strings are about a millimeter closer to eachother than on most guitars so you have to be rather precise. Other than that you cant beat this if you try. Great deal. Update: changed the coils, shielded the inside, new strings, changed intonation springs and trem springs. Still noisy as heck. Gonna ...

Gonna change pots if it's still noisy I'm going to blame it on the fact that the wood on this body is very light and porous making it overly resonant. Sounds great on clean and light overdrive but heavy stuff is almost out of the question.

Oh the joy of being able to do things to a guitar without guilt. These come very well made and are good out of the box, BUT the trouble I've encountered is that the tremolo cavity is not properly cut for left hand. With some mild modifications to the nut and tremolo cavity and moving the whole tremolo forward 3/16 of an inch fixed everything. I also added a new pickguard and pickup covers along with DR Black Beauty strings. Now it is tuned and intonnated perfectly. It plays fantastic now!!

I am having a hard time believing I paid $90 for this guitar. And that's including the lefty tax. But I understand that there are less of us lefties around so $20 or so more is not heartbreaking. My guitar arrived in pristine condition, packaging was adequate. The guitar needed a tune, intonation was spot on, string height was almost perfect, I only had to tweak one string. The strings themselves were OK, I replaced these with Ernie Ball Super Slinky 9-42s immediately. The tuning machines were ...

The strings themselves were OK, I replaced these with Ernie Ball Super Slinky 9-42s immediately. The tuning machines were adequate, but I already replaced them with Hipshot locking tuners, which is my go-to tuner design. In terms of fit and finish, it's very nice. The fret ends were fine, I polished them a little bit but that was more for practice. It's a nice guitar, and again, it doesn't look like a $90 guitar. It plays very nicely (and it's so light!), I have only been learning for a few months, but I am really enjoying it. Would I buy another one? Absolutely, I actually bought a right-handed version for my kid. But I would definitely buy more if/when the time comes.
