Purchased as a first violin as the price was great. Has a very good sound. Had an issue with keeping tuned, after contacting customer service and pushing the tuning plug in, the situation improved. Overall good.

Good enough violin for middle aged beginner who has no musical talent, but willing to move through the learning process slowly.

It has been half a year with this violin. It stayed in tune the entire year, needing only minor adjustment from day to day. Probably because it's covered in paint, it was actually very stable against change in climate conditions through out the year, from dry cold winter to wet spring to humid hot summer to dry hot fall. Still beautiful. and sounds good!

An unbelievably good violin and package for the price. If you're unsure, as I was, of whether your child will devote the time and effort into learning violin, there's no better way to find out without risking a ton of money. This is more than adequate in my opinion.

Even though I'm a firm believer in 'you get what you pay for', I'm rather impressed with this deal. I feel you get a little more than you pay for with this instrument, considering what we paid for her concert violin.

A good violin for beginners and the likes. Obviously it does produce excellent sound.

Did a bit of research and decided this was the best least expensive violin out there. This is my first violin, and figured I can't screw this one up and I can only go up in quality from here if I stick with it. A little hard to tune for me, but once you get it right, the sound is perfect.

5 star. Had returned the first one for some minor issues, but the second one was sent and arrived in perfect condition. Works great!

It is as same as it was described.

It is decent for the price. The finish was dirty when they put the finish on it so the top has dirt under the finish which makes it look bad. The tuner seems to work good. The bridge took me several times to get it close to playing fair. Best to take it to a shop and have them set it up. Im retired so i have plenty of time.

I have had it for almost half year now, and it is still amazing! I highly recommend to anyone interested in the violin as a beginner as it is a good starter instrument, and not really professional for contests or anything. It still has really good quality for the price, and is still as shiny as it was when I first opened it.

Bought it for a Great Grand son, he loves it and is teaching himself, and loves the case also! Very nice, thank you for high quality violin!

The quality of the fiddle is very nice, it looks great. I just started playing so the only reason it doesn't sound good is because I do not have experience. Five stars.

Everything was fully intact and the case seems nice. The rosin was not broken when we received it (but like a day later it was). All in all I do think it was a decent buy for under $100 and for a beginner.

This is our first violin experience so I do not know about quality, sound or much else about this but it seems ok for a 11 year old learning to play.

I bought GV306 before, but this time because my mother became interested in playing the violin, I bought another 4 generations here. Compared with the 306, there are obviously some better places. For example, sound, of course, requires a certain amount of experience to distinguish. But it feels noticeably better. My mom should be able to make great progress learning with this violin.

This is a good violin for beginners to learn on... it comes with the case, bow, booklet for chords and songs, a set of strings. Good little instrument for the price.

This was my first violin ever that my dad had gotten me. It has really good quality. I absolutely love it and the rosin broke not long after but that was because I was a bit clumsy. Overall really good violin for beginners and I gotta say it makes beautiful music.

This is being used by my partner, new violin player but an experienced musician (professional rock drummer, also plays guitar, bass, keyboards, and likes to goof around with pretty much any instrument he can get his hands on). He said the build is surprisingly great for the price point, and he's having fun trying it out. Well built and no problems tuning it, although he said his expectations for a $100 violin staying in tune are realistically modest. It's not a masterpiece, but at under a hundre ...

I don't know much about violins but my wife learned to play string instruments in high school and thought this would be nice to give back to her old band teacher as a gift.
