Having owned a couple of acoustic basses previously, I didn't have high expectations for this one, but I have use for one. I ordered this one hoping it wasnt a waste of money. It wasn't! Fit and finish is pretty good. There a couple of minor blems here and there, but barely noticable and dont affect the sound or playability in any way. Fit and finish is pretty good. There a couple of minor blems here and there, but barely noticable and dont affect the sound or playability in any way. As for sound, I was quite surprised at the deep resonant sound, producing a tight punchy bass without the "flappy" sound that many short scale basses have. The electronics work well and allow for quite a bit of tonal shaping. I was quite impressed to see a balanced XLR jack alongside the standard 1/4" output jack! The action was a bit high out of the box. But nothing that a bit of truss rod adjusting couldn't fix. Once that was done and tuned up, I found that the intonation was excellent. Best of all, this is great fun to play! I like this bass much better than I ever expected! It looks great and sounds great and does everything I need it to do! Another big winner from Glarry!!
