To be honest, I was not expecting as much as some of the reviews I've read, as I repair and service guitars and amplifiers, and have played for 38 years. But for the price it's hard to beat what you receive. The guitar arrived with no damage, and that's pretty amazing considering the packaging. Once I tuned the guitar, the action was unusable past the 9th fret. I remove the nut and filed it down 1.5mm and the action was better. Overall the fret dressing was ok. There were a few frets that needed slight edge dressing, and I polished all of them since I had the strings off. Since a couple of the frets that needed edge dressing were the very upper frets, I applied painter's tape to protect the body. When I removed the tape, it removed bits of the very thin decal around the sound hole. Bummer. The tone of the guitar is average. It will make a nice practice/travel instrument, and that's what I bought it for - I'm not worried about it getting damaged. These are entry level/beginner guitars, and that's what you should expect for the price. You can spend a little more to modify/improve them, but be mindful of the ravers on YT and their reviews. Most of them tend to exaggerate in order to get views and subscribers. :)
