I can't rate this any better at this time it was bought as a Christmas gift for my granddaughter so she hasn't received it as of yet . But I will say when it arrived we had to look at it. It is beautiful ! And it seems to be a very good buy for a beginner.

I got the 1/4 for my 6 year old. It's great for the price (I've spent more on a set of strings) no trouble tuning, mostly used fine tuners. I've been playing it myself for a few weeks and it's fun.

Everythins is good. I love it. If I have any complaints, and they are only slight, it is that the quality of the rosin that comes with it is quite poor, and I found that getting a good sound was a lot easier after I got some better quality rosin.

Arrived well except the rosin was shattered so I'll have to buy some locally. Very nice that it came with tuner and extra strings. Turning peg is a lil loose so I had to really push it in to hold string in place. All in all worth the price to me.

Our Grandson is in the forth grade and taking orchestra for the first time and instead of renting a violin we decided to just buy a inexpensive one to start. If he sticks with it we will get him a better one but for now this one will work.
