I debated over buying this for a while before I finally gave in and I'm so excited I did! It was here within three days which was awesome! I'm a first time violin player so it was a little tricky to put together and tune and everything but I think I got the hang of it. The only thing is, like other reviewers have said, you definitely get what you pay for. It only came with a fine tuner on one string so the others will never sound just right, and as soon as I started to put the rosin on the bow a string fell out of that (though it was only one so it's totally fine). The violin itself is great except for a few details; there's a little bit of glue misplaced on the fingerboard, and the back of the neck is a completely different color (for some reason???), but it's nothing that I think will affect learning to play.
All in all, it's perfect for a beginner. I'm 22 (so I got a 4/4) and just wanted to pick up a new hobby. Everything to get you started is here and in working order, plus it came with handy directions. If you're looking for perfection, maybe go a little higher quality, but if you're a newbie like me, you seriously won't find a better deal.
