Was not happy with this bass guitar. It needs much work. I tuned it because the 15 and 16 fret had same tune and the E and A string had sever buzzing. I don't know if it's worth taking it to get it worked on because of the price I paid for it. I need a 4 string because I have a 5 string so now I guess I buy another 4 string elsewhere.

I received a very playable instrument that is a great start for those interested in trying 6-string bass. The neck was pretty well setup, and the intonation is perfect through the 24-fret. It's really an amazing instrument for less than $150. "The assembly went well. Although, If you've never put a guitar together before and are absolutely a newbie and have no idea what your doing then you might want to watch a few YouTube videos or the video provided by the seller. It came with instructions but they wouldn't be helpful if you don't know what to do. All the drill holes lined up and there wasn't any holes that didn't get drilled or anything. Awesome for the price, just got done staining the guitar gona put a nice coat of polyurethane to make it look perfect then gona slap some EMG 81-85's in it and this this should scream!! Great buy even if you was to use the pickups and hardware that comes with it. I'll definitely buy more!!!

Sweet! All the parts and components of this kit fit great and went together fast...the set up to make it easy and fun to play took a bit longer. I had built a strat diy kit before; this is a great way to learn the mechanics of a guitar. I will buy another when they go on sale.

A Glarry short scale bass in natural finish was delivered on time. All it needed was a setup like any new bass. A couple fret ends needed a little filing and action lowered, but that is no big deal. I decided to put flat wound strings on it. What a deal.

Worked out very well for my intentions- had a couple problems with the neck and Glarry made it right with a quick partial refund, with which I was able to buy a really nice high gloss maple yellow/gold neck with good fret job on amazn for under 50. that fit perfectly. I got new tuners (25.) and also a nice cut-down compensated bridge at wally world for under 20. It takes the shorter size 84 or 85mm vintage type bridge. Fun little kit! As a kit it isn't a challenge but when you're done you have a ok cheap little guitar. Nothing a serious guitarist would want but it plays and for the price it's amazing.

This bass arrived in excellent condition and was easy to tune. The pickups sound good, although output was on the low side. Very lightweight, and I will put this in the class of basses I have played costing 2-5 times more. No set up issues currently, but I am relearning after a 20+ year break from years of weekend gigging. The included bag is fine, but offers little protection. This is the first guitar kit I have ever built and was truly impressed with how well the wood was prepared, very little sanding was required. Quality of the wood was great, beautiful grain without any chips, nicks, or damage from shipping. As with all kits the electrical components are of lower quality, this is how they are able to sell this product at the price point they do. For a starter guitar the components are fine and can easily be upgraded as you progress in your ability.

I love the guitar kits by this company, great for beginners. the most important things to keep in mind while building is 1. Make sure to use the video as a resource for instructions, and 2. make sure to adjust the bridge. It sounds decent and looks great with just wood or if you decide to customize it.

This is a kick butt kit to learn the basics of guitar setup. And it sounds good even with the supplied pickups. You can swap in some better stuff and have a really nice tight playable good looking guitar. It's real value for the price.
