This is my 4th guitar from this manufacturer, so I knew to expect good value for a decent product. This one is even better. Very hard to find a 6 string bass for under $300. The only complaint I have is the low B string suffers a volume drop off - I suspect the pickup is not quite wide enough to get full signal. I lower the acting on that string and it helped a bit, I will also use a compressor/sustainer to boost the volume on that string. It is not a big complaint considering how little I paid, ...

The only complaint I have is the low B string suffers a volume drop off - I suspect the pickup is not quite wide enough to get full signal. I lower the acting on that string and it helped a bit, I will also use a compressor/sustainer to boost the volume on that string. It is not a big complaint considering how little I paid, and doesn't detract from my rating but is something to be aware of in case this would be a real big deal to you. A different pickup set *might* fix it but would also cost more than I paid for the instrument. The strings sound great, the action was nearly perfect and just needed small tweaks, the intonation was even nearly spot on, right out of the box. I think it has two truss rods, which a good 6 string bass should have due to neck width. This instrument will become my preferred one, and I have some more expensive ones. My bandmates already commented on hearing my play more chords. Nice!
