This is my second Glarry guitar I bought in 2020. Although it is not quite as good as the other 2 it still plays good and holds a tune pretty good I just wanted to try out a strat style guitar and this one sounds good however the pots are scratchy and noisey and the neck is a bit chunky but it is good enough for $78.00 I can't complain.

The Guitar was damaged in shipping because the packing sucks. I made an Instagram video and tagged @Glarryinc and they did respond with the following "The problem has been fed back to the developers and we will improve it from the packaging to avoid damage in transit." That's all I got from them, no apology, refund offer, nothing. I used the rest parts on a body I built so I really didn't care about the body but I think they should have offered a partial refund at least considering the shape i ...

After my review about the damage Lin from Glarry emailed me and offered a partial refund. Glarry has good customer service and wants happy customers.

To be honest, I was not expecting as much as some of the reviews I've read, as I repair and service guitars and amplifiers, and have played for 38 years. But for the price it's hard to beat what you receive. This guitar arrived with slight damage to the headstock, as it was obvious from the damaged box and inner Styrofoam that it had been dropped. To be honest, I was not expecting as much as some of the reviews I've read, as I repair and service guitars and amplifiers, and have played for 38 years. But for the price it's hard to beat what you receive. This guitar arrived with slight damage to the headstock, as it was obvious from the damaged box and inner Styrofoam that it had been dropped. I contacted Glarry Music and they offered a $10 refund, which I considered fair, and accepted. I sanded and buffed out the headstock damage. The guitar body is not perfect. It has a scratch on the top side that's been marked over. It's apparent one of the ways they get the price point low is using seconds that have slight surface imperfections. Same for the pickguard, it has some imperfections too. Again, for the price of the guitar, it's to be expected. I was surprised the intonation was really good. The neck and action needed to be adjusted, but now it's actually very playable compared to a real Strat. I still need to level a couple of high spots on frets to get the action where it needs to be on the high E string. If you're looking for a budget guitar to learn/practice on, or learn setup, intonation, fret crown/level/polish, or work on the electronics, these make excellent foundations for advancing your skills as a tech or luthier. For the price of a new guitar, they can't be beat.

Good: good value for the price, decent materials, sounds good once it's set up properly, great affordable platform for modding. Nice colors. Bad: Needs a lot of set up to play well (intonation, action, truss rod, fret level and polish, tremolo set up). Nut is really rough and too tall. Neck is unfinished and too fat, if you like a fat unfinished neck you might like it, I shaved it down to match the profile and feel of my other strat that I like (also changed the head stock shape at the same time) and finished it with a couple rubbed on coats of amber shellac (for a vintage tint) and it feels and looks a lot better now. Top screw on the jack plate was chipped out so I had to reposition it and drill new screw holes, the original was to close to the edge of the routing and the screw hole blew out and had nothing to hold onto. The tremolo cavity is too small, the back of the string block hits the body, it only goes down a few steps before bottoming out, you can't get a good floppy string dive-bomb out of it. The string block itself is very small and skinny so replacing the bridge would only make things worse (as does trying to float the bridge) I removed some of the wood from the back of the cavity, but it still hits, need to remove more. It would be nice if the bridge was a standard size and the pocket for the block was big enough to get the strings to full slack and provide more room for floating the bridge. The strings are terrible, replace right away if you want to stay in tune. OK: Tuners, bridge, and electronics are just OK, but workable for a beginner or backup guitar and do the job for the price. This critique is more for Glarry in hopes that they can make a few changes to further improve an already good product. I expect to have to do some work to any guitar at any price to get it how I want it, but the issues with the bridge route, screw holes, and nut, go beyond a basic set up and need improvement.
