My son wanted to learn to play guitar. I asked him to pick something out and he picked the cheapest guitar package available which was the Glarry. My son wanted to learn to play guitar. I asked him to pick something out and he picked the cheapest guitar package available which was the Glarry. The package comes with literally everything you "need" to play. He liked the way it looked and wasn't sure what type of music he wanted to play (did NOT want to play metal which is what I play making this a decent choice for other generes) I also did not want to spend a fortune on a guitar that he may not want a month or 2 down the road from losing interest. It came packaged very well. I was actually suprised by the guitar itself. The finish was flawless, no rising/ sharp frets or fret sprout, neck was straight, and did not have to intonate. I was very surprised by this for the price and the long travel it made getting here. The strings are junk and needed immediate replacement . The nut slots we clean and true. The amp isn't the best quality but what do you expect. The guitar was a surprise when I hooked it up to my amps. I have 4 amps and played it through 3 of them. The guitar sounded miles better than I expected. I even played it through some high gain stuff with a nosie gate and sounded good (When I say sounded good I mean exceeding my expections) . I would recommend this for a TRUE beginner or to someone who wants to learn how to work on guitars.
