Came and looks as described. I was impressed with the cellos resonance for being so non-expensive compared to my local music store. I would definitely recommend these cellos to anyone just starting out like myself & someone who doesn't want to pay arm and leg for an instrument that they aren't sure how long they will play it (like your kid in school perhaps).

It was cheaper to buy this than rent one for our kids at school. It sounds very good too. She is extremely pleased with the sound of this her dream instrument. It is amazing that you can get a cello in the mail!

This is the least expensive option I can find. I like that it comes as a set with the bow and bag. If you're not familiar with the cello, be prepared to go to a luthier or professional cellist to set up the cello upon receipt because the bridge was packed separately in the case. The cello and bow are both solid. The only thing is I wish the bow came pre-rosined like when you get your bow re-haired because new rosin and new hair is just a terrible combination and it takes forever to put enough on ...

I'm a 92 yr old who played stand up bass for many years including one year for a state symphony orchestra. I am interested in playing melodies on an instrument that would be familiar to me. My bass is too big and heavy now for this old man. Your cello seems ok although a little disappointed at the fingerboard being wood painted black. Since my brain is accustomed to the bass clef I tuned it just like my bass and played the Ave Maria the very first attempt without missing a note.

The cello comes with the bridge uninstalled, the strings completely loose, and no rosin whatsoever on the bow. But it's really not too hard to set up. Overall, it's worth the price.

This cello is perfect for the price I paid. It came with everything it said it would. The bow is slightly warped (looking on it straight down)but that has not hindered my playing. A great deal for anyone looking for a first cello of her own, and totally worth it.

Very lovely instrument. The purpose I bought the cello was to learn how to play (I already have been playing violin and viola for years and wanted to try cello). I suggest rosining the bow a lot to not break it in the first time.
