First, it is important to realize the cost of this guitar and reasonable expectations based on that. It comes with a thin gig bag, strap, chord, a pick, and truss rod wrench so a decent package. I would recommend to Glarry leaving out something in the package and putting a good set of strings on it.

I gave it 3 stars for a combination of reasons. First, the strings are the worst I've felt and they helped make turning the guitar a very frustrating exercise when combined with the tuners that slipped and ground while attempting to get them set. Second, the neck was slightly bowed (weather will do that to any guitar) so I went to do a truss rod adjustment and the nut would not move. This usually means your neck is shot as the truss rod has no adjustment left BUT on closer inspection I saw it was simply a very poorly installed rod with wood shaving blocking adjustments. I was able to get it cleaned out enough to straighten the neck but it is really not going to last long due to the poor routing for the rod, I fear. Third, the tray is severely pitted and that was one piece I wanted to reuse, it simply looks awful. Fourth, the neck is tight but it is gouged and rough so it will take quite a bit of sanding to get it smooth under the hand while playing.
The body is okay, looks like a sticker under the top but the finish is decent. The weight is very light but I still do not know what type of wood they used to make the body. After finally getting it tuned to a point I plugged it in and it sounds okay on low volumes. Don't crank up on the bridge pickup, the distortion gets really bad. However, for a young person learning it will do fine. I'm going to be replacing everything on this guitar except the neck and body, which is why I bought it. I'm not confident in the truss rod installation and the neck needs a lot of work but for a project guitar I don't have to finish the body on it should do the task just fine.
