This cello is awesome. Easily able to tune. Packaging was on point. I bought the black one. I have enjoyed it quite a bit. I ended up putting red label strings on it, because I broke one string. The red label strings do sound better than the original ones, though.

Both my instructor and I were surprised with the quality. Great cello for a beginner, very affordable. Bridge is not installed but that's how they transport cellos and you can install it yourself.

It comes prepped for shipping, so the strings are attached, but loose. I had a idea how to set it up, but still needed to look up which direction the bridge sits online. It's a $240 cello.. I assume it doesn't sound perfect, but I think it sounds really good for the price.

I was excited to learn of this solid wood cello at such an affordable price, and was not disappointed. Shipping was speedy and packaging perfect for a safe delivery. I'm a beginner on the cello, but experienced on other instruments, and it sounds good to me—I'll have to wait to get confirmation from others, but am very happy with my purchase!

So far i can say that is an excellent Instruments to start. Instrument arrived well packaged. All stated parts included. The bridge just needed to be set in place and tune. Ready to play otherwise. Good sound, no flaws noticed, and has been well played since arriving.

The cello itself is outstanding for the price!! considering that most student cellos in store are around 5,000$, this was a real deal! It is very well made, the constructing is sound, and the pegs didn't snap off! It came with everything advertised and in excellent shape.

I will say this... It was packed very, very well and every inch of this beauty was protected! I have named her ("Miss Cello") she looks just like the ones in the music store. She even sounds like the one I tried out at the music store. Great for the price range. Color is nice and the music teacher said it was fine for a beginner. I do recommend you get the hard case package, though. I am sorry I did not do that because it`s a big, bulky instrument with fragile parts.

My husband wanted to learn how to play the cello. The cello arrived in great condition. It looked beautiful. He was able to tune it just fine and it did take a couple of days to "hold" the tune, but that is expected. It's been a great starter. Just a tip for those starting too. Use a nail file to rough up the rosin and then the rosin will better coat the bow. I would recommend for anyone needing a starter cello!

My wife is thrilled with this. It is affordable enough that there need not be the expectation that she will one day be an expert at the instrument; something that she enjoys is enough. This may not be as good as more expensive cellos, but for someone who had nothing and no expectations, it is wonderful.

I am very pleased with this purchase. It is the 4th instrument from Glarry I have purchased, and I have never been let down. I cannot imagine a better starter instrument. I agree with other reviews, the bow is a little hard to rosin up, and the fine tuners are a little hard to tune. But these are minor considerations. Came and looks as described. I was impressed with the cellos resonance for being so non-expensive compared to my local music store. I would definitely recommend these cellos to anyone just starting out like myself & someone who doesn't want to pay arm and leg for an instrument that they aren't sure how long they will play it (like your kid in school perhaps).

This is a really good deal. The instrument I received has good tone, and was very playable as soon as I stood up the bridge and tuned up. You might need to use a very small file to cut the bridge grooves a bit deeper, I did. The bow is OK, but it's definitely a bargain bow. I would recommend getting better rosin as well. Build quality is very good for the price. Finish is also very good. My only complaint is the fine tuners, which are not very good, and felt a bit "gritty" until I cleaned ...

I totally recommend it. Was a Birthday gift for my 15 year old son, he is happy to have it and so do I .?????? Exactly as described…It is perfect, has a bright color, easy to ensamble, and bag is perfect. Sounds great, was super easy to set up and tune. The only complaint is that the rosin isn't so great, but luckily he has access to better rosin at school.

This is the least expensive option I can find. I like that it comes as a set with the bow and bag. If you're not familiar with the cello, be prepared to go to a luthier or professional cellist to set up the cello upon receipt because the bridge was packed separately in the case. The cello and bow are both solid. I'm a professional violist, so I know enough to say this is perfect for my son to start cello. The whole set up is really well-done and is as expected. It's fine! Sturdy, well-made, student quality cello. Everything came in great shape and as expected. Very happy with this and it's way cheaper than renting. Totally worth it.
