I have been a guitar player for 39 years, and always bought guitars based on brand name and hype. Oh, you need to get Brand X, because So and So plays only Brand X. Brand X is the BEST, because Brand X says they are...Blah blah blah. I've got Strats, Les Pauls, and Explorers, but I always wanted to try bass. I shopped around, and grew curious upon finding Glarry on YouTube. I said the same thing that everyone else says. How can a bass that cheap be any more than a piece of firewood and wir ... I shopped around, and grew curious upon finding Glarry on YouTube. I said the same thing that everyone else says. How can a bass that cheap be any more than a piece of firewood and wire? Well, spoiler alert! These things are LEGIT instruments. I fully expected poor quality fit and finish, and a bad setup. My expectations were smashed! Fit and finish is EXCELLENT, and no set up was needed. I did take it apart just to take a look inside, and do some work on the fretboard. I noticed that the finish on the fretboard is odd. Nothing defective, just looked dry. I lemon oiled it and it got better, but still felt a little odd, so I took a plastic card (like a credit card) and burnished the grain with the edge of it so it would sort of smooth out and close the grain. That seemed to do the trick. Looks fine now, and feels silky smooth. Other than the 30 minutes of tinkering with the fretboard (which wasn't needed, just my preference), this thing is a 10 out of 10. Is it a hand crafted in a custom shop heirloom that will impress a brand snob? NO. Is is a good beginner instrument? YES. Is it useful for more advanced users? YES. Could it be used to gig with? YES. Will it last? I think it will. If you treat your instruments like instruments, and not baseball bats, it should last for many years. Do you get what you pay for? NO...you get so much more. I would seriously have paid 3 to 4 times more in the past to get a similar quality instrument. I have absolutely no idea how Glarry is making any money on these. I will be getting a P Bass in the future as well as a tele style just to see how those are, but I can honestly say, I am a Glarry fan going forward. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GLARRY!

This is a nice 5 String Bass. The neck is straight. The action is good. The frets are well finished. The strings and tuning machines are fine. All it needed was a little polishing of the back of the neck then it was ready to go. It is an excellent value.

I've wanted a fretless to mess around with for years, and for $100 out the door, the price can't be beat! The bass arrived well-packed, and comes with a gig bag, hex wrenches for the truss rod and bridge saddles, and a strap. The bag and the strap aren't that nice, honestly, but the bass was only $100, so that's completely excusable. Action is good out of the box. I'm really happy with this bass guitar! I must admit, I was a little wary due to the price but I wanted a bass to sit in the studio just to lay down some stuff for demos. I saw this on Allen Brown's YouTube channel (Bully Thakidd), and thought I would see if this bass lived up to the hype. This thing is playable right outside the box. It looks good and sounds pretty. If you wanted to set it up, it would be cake. The neck is thick like a P-Bass, which I don't really mind since I started with a P-Bass. This bass guitar is amazing! It arrived right away, and right out of the box, it was a joy to play. I've already plugged it into my DAW and recorded with it, and of course it sounds great through my amp (and even alone, tbh—just for practicing fingering...I'm new to the bass). Strings are fabulous, they stay tuned, tone is amazing—everything about it is perfect. Highly recommend!

If you are interested in seeing if you would like the fretless bass, then this a economical way to test the waters! The bass is very well built in light of the small price. Really happy with this purchase. The guitar looks great, sounds really good and feels well built and sturdy. Came with a tiny bit of fret buzz on one or two frets, but nothing a 5 minute set-up couldn't fix - and most basses need a little adjustment out of the box so that's to be expected. Got the red one. It looks great, everything is solid, plays well. Frets were pretty rough, not sharp, but still rough.
