Guitar was as described pickup are ok action was alittle to hight for my playing style but was an easy fix but even more expensive guitars are like that till set up neck pickup has a nice warm sound but. bridg was to microphonic but I can fix that to but I'm pleased with guitar just going to upgrade a few things to my taste that's all but I'm an intermediate player but for a beginner it better then what I learned on I just like to tinker lol Great job

I'm a very experienced bass player and I purchased this beginner bass for a family member to learn bass guitar. It's a great instrument for the price. The neck was straight and it plays well. It's all a beginning player will ever need. I highly recommend to anyone that wants to start learning bass guitar or maybe even for those that only have one bass and want to take a backup with them to shows.

One of the best, if not the best, starter bass kits I've ever bought. I'd not been playing for quite a few years and needed something to dust off the cobwebs with and this is doing stupendously so far; clean sound, beautiful action on the neck and the body staining is perfect. FUN! This set arrived in a massive box that was dropped by the FedEx guy right as he got to my front door!?! It really should have been strapped to the roller but it wasn't. Guitar was all intact, not damaged. This was LUCKY because not enough care was taken to protect the instrument. It was received in a simple cardboard box, with damage holes in both the front and back of the box. Inside was the guitar wrapped in nothing but thin plastic (like paper). It should have been given more packing inside the carton, to protect it. Also, it took 7 days to arrive - a bit long. Great case at three times the price! Ordered to be the home for my GIB-5, and it does fit, but i have to adjust the A tuning key inline with the headstock for the neck to seat properly into both cradles, not a big deal, but wish it were a bit deeper. A P or J style Bass with a flat headstock will fit, no problems. Awesome Bass! I bought this to transition to 5 strings from four, without breaking the bank. Wish it had split pickups at the neck, but that's what I'm used to. Only needs a basic setup, Fretboard conditioning, polish the frets, set action and intonation just how I like it. I'll be changing to a lighter set of strings, but that's again just my preference. Great value at three times the price!

I was hesitant when I ordered this guitar because of the price. I was surprisingly impressed when it arrived. It was ready to play right out of the box! The action was nice, the feel was great, for the price it can't be beat. I've been playing guitar for 30 years & it's honestly equal the quality of some guitars I've paid $250-$500 for! I will definately be ordering from them again in the future. For the quality & price, I would give them 6 stars if I could. Very happy customer.

Bass is very nice and looks good, had to do a little setup on it, like smooth frets, truss rod adjustment and bridge height, but I expected at least that. the pickups are OK, and now that it's setup properly plays very well, no buzzing frets, straight neck, handles as well as my fender precision, the pickups I might change in the future, but it's a great road bass. don't have to worry if someone trashes it or comes up missing, I can just buy another.
