I forgot how much rosin a new bow needs (a ton) to make clear sound. I ended up using darker rosin I had on hand to get a fuller sound (the light rosin provided is very lightweight). As expected, it fell out of tune almost immediately, but through lots of retuning and over the course of a practice session we were beginning to see the tuning hold longer. I am confident that as the strings acclimate to their stretch they will hold tune well. Strings are adequate.
