Like all other five-star reviews, I am qualifying this as "five stars, for the money". However, there's still a story to tell here. I purchased this guitar with the intention of modding it to the max. Upon receiving it, the ONLY quality defect I could see was that one screw on the switch plate cover was screwed in at an obvious angle. Item keeps saying shipped on 12/23, no record of it shipping. Tracking says still not shipped. Glarry blames UPS, but they say they don't have it yet. Keep getting the runaround via email on both of my items. They charged me right away no problem but no one can tell me why it truly hasn't been shipped. Lame! EDITING to add that again I get a disjointed email from someone blaming UPS for not picking up the order after 12 days. NOT TRUE. SO ANNOYING!

I have just ordered my 6th Glarry Guitar. Five are shown in my history, and one I bought off of amazon, i decided to cut out the middle man. I had a coupon GLARRY5, and I got the discount. you cannot beat a deal like this one. I( just bought an ARTCORE and will compare the two. I purchased this guitar and one other from Glarry expecting to use them as a kit build/redo because the price was cheaper than most kits out there. To my pleasant surprise the order came in just a few days. Packing was decent and there was no damage due to shipping. But what was amazing is that Everything functioned well right out of the box! Fantastic guitar for the price! Needs setting up though. To start with a positive, the body was immaculate and the neck was perfectly straight. The guitar worked right away and did not have any electrical issues. As to expect from the price, I needed to dress the frets and file the nut slots. At first, I could not fit the wammy bar. I ordered it on the Sunday before Christmas and received it on Christmas Eve, very happy about that! The bass looks great and plays pretty good! The sound is pretty good too. Definitely worth the price, especially for a lefty! It is light weight yet well balanced for a beginner. It came pretty well set up, maybe the action was a bit too low, but the included allen wrenches can help with that adjustment (I would google how to setup a bass before making any adjustment). I bought this bass as a Christmas gift for my wife. She has been wanting to learn to play for quite some time. After reading reviews, I decided to go ahead and order from Glarry. Other than a few minor defects in the finish I cannot find any faults. It is very light and comfortable to play. It weighs about half of my Squier Affinity PJ bass, I expected it to have a heavy metal growl to it. Instead it has a nice warm tone. It was literally tune and play. Setup was decent. Bought this for my wife who has always wanted to play the bass. Needed something reliable and good for not a lot of money. Most of the reviews I read were good so I took the leap. She opened it on Christmas and was very pleased. Has already taken several on-line classes and seems to enjoy the ride so far. Amp is pretty small and a little tinny but just fine as a starter given the price. So far very satisfied. Thanks.

MAJOR DAMAGE!!! Well, my guitar arrived today. --- I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. It arrived on the 29th. Not too upset about that because I ordered it on the 18th, knowing it could take up to 10 days for delivery. Well, being all excited when it arrived, when I saw the box, I was immediately concerned. When I opened it, my concerns came to reality. The body is crushed and it must be returned. Overall, the guitar looks good but I didn't do much more than open it, unpack it, ... MAJOR DAMAGE!!! Well, my guitar arrived today. --- I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. It arrived on the 29th. Not too upset about that because I ordered it on the 18th, knowing it could take up to 10 days for delivery. Well, being all excited when it arrived, when I saw the box, I was immediately concerned. When I opened it, my concerns came to reality. The body is crushed and it must be returned. Overall, the guitar looks good but I didn't do much more than open it, unpack it, and pack it back up. Can't say much more at this time. Hopefully customer service will be better than the shape the guitar arrived. ................ UPDATE - 1-15-21 Upon the arrival of the damaged guitar, I contacted Glarry customer service. The customer service manager I worked with, Manager Lin, was incredibly responsive and helpful! The guitar was replaced immediately! Because the guitar that I ordered was not in stock at the time, I was given the option to wait until it was in stock or the option of choosing another guitar that was in stock. Because it was a gift, I wanted to replace it as soon as I could and so I chose a different guitar from the Glarry inventory. The guitar was immediately put on order and I received it roughly 12 to 15 days later. All through this time, the service manager was in contact with me and was very helpful and responsive to my messages. As you know, these guitars are quite competitively priced but they are worth every penny and more! I've been playing guitar for nearly all of my life and I really enjoy the guitar I bought for my child. It's a fantastic beginner guitar and to be honest, I'm considering getting one for myself for fun! The classic question: Would I buy from Glarry again? Heck yes! The only problem I had during this entire transition was the worry about how the guitar would arrive. They are not packed very well and so I was "biting my nails" while waiting for the second guitar to arrive. it arrived in PERFECT condition! Thanks Glarry and thanks to a very responsive customer service department!
