The guitar is beautiful! My husband was so impressed with the quality and workmanship of the actual guitar. The combo deal was a nice idea, but we will have to replace the amp, strap, and cords, due to lack of quality. However, the customer service is out of this world! I had a couple questions about packaging, and received a response almost immediately a couple times. We will definitely be shopping with you directly for our future purchases.

It's a nice guitar for a beginner. When it arrived with the box punctured and battered, I had a feeling something would not be good. It has a great tone, but we noticed that the fixed bridge is unleveled and makes the B-string closer to the frets than the others, which concluded in a buzzing sound. The G-string bridge part was unleveled but didn't affect the tone nor the sound.

Nice little short scale bass. I had it professionally set-up after purchasing it and it plays really well. My daughter loves it and it's a great first bass for her. I wish the amplifier that was sold with it had the same build quality (the amp broke 7 months into ownership, just outside of the 6-month warranty period).

As a woman in my 70's, I bought this kid's bass after seeing several positive reviews where I could see an adult playing it, who said it could be good for older folks. As a girl who is more on the petite end of the spectrum I can say that this bass works pretty good from a beginners perspective its my first bass and ive been able to reach all the frets just fine. Although its definitely up to a standard far past beginner I have enjoyed its size and weight discounting the non even distribution there of.

EDIT: After playing this bass for a few months I am definitely unhappy with the Active Electronics. While getting an active bass for this price is great--the 9volt is constantly being used even when the bass is not plugged in. Please note you will have to remove your 9volt every time you play this thing so it doesn't die on you while its sitting on the rack. Incredibly disappointing result from what I originally thought was an excellent purpose and if I could rate this purchase again I would giv ... Definitely would recommend the passive version As a long time 4 string player I was not sure if I wanted to add one string or two. After a friend of mine really enjoyed his Glarry 5 string, I figured I'd check out the six and see if it was for me. Overall, I'm very impressed--the bass came surprisingly well set up and after throwing in my 9volt and tuning I was essentially good to go. If you're like me and trying to learn how to play a six string, this might be the right purchase for you. A lot of folks in these reviews seem to speak to buzzy electronics, but I haven't noticed much on my end. Six strings naturally have some string resonance/buzzing if not muted properly, and most of the unwanted noise I seem to have is a result of that and my playing and not the pickups. Its also kind of strange that the frets actually extend a little past the neck? I have noticed that while my action is pretty ideal at frets 1-15 neck, when you get to about fret 20 or so it becomes a lot more difficult to effectively fret these strings. Not sure if this is something I'll be able to solve on my own by making adjustments, or if the neck is just a little funky/warped. Even if that is the case, I think I got my money's worth here just being able to experiment with the two additional strings and learning proper muting technique. I would not call this professional quality nor do I think I would risk gigging with it, but I would absolutely recommend it to a "student" or someone like myself who is not playing professionally. Considering a lot of six strings are 4x this much, it certainly is a great value

I received a very playable instrument that is a great start for those interested in trying 6-string bass. The neck was pretty well setup, and the intonation is perfect through the 24-fret. Fun, with surprisingly decent sound for the $ Body (while tiny) is much thicker than it could be - and considerably thicker than most full-sized instruments. Neck and fretboard are well made. Electronics and output jack are sub par.

The good: Surprisingly well manufactured for its price point, with no fret overhang and the electronics all worked as expected. The tone was surprisingly good. Not so good: The intonation was not set, meaning that the bridge saddles were not adjusted to ensure that notes are in proper pitch as you play higher up the neck. First, its fun to play! It's very attractive and it plays well. I was surprised how good it sounded. Volume and tone knobs are smooth. My only complaint is the "inlay" is painted on. I will definitely buy another Glarry Bass.

Out of the box, it was better than expected but will still need a good setup which I can do myself. The biggest surprise is that the body was unfinished! Bare wood! It still needs sanding in some spots. I ordered the natural finish but was still expecting a glossy coat. The bass itself feels good for the price that's being sold. Perfect bass for a beginner although there were some weird scratches on the neck and i think someone messed up the Dots on the neck and tried to fix it but thankfully it's not noticeable from far but noticeable when you have it on you. Great product but with a minor defect.

It's a very good instrument for a beginner, with just a few little points knocking off that 5th star: The body is quite light while the neck and head contribute a significan heft, which does cause some awkward handling that can get uncomfortable after a while In addition, the pick-ups are quite short which can make then difficult to rest your thumb on Otherwise, I'm very impressed with what I recieved for the pricepoint

I love the bass it came in perfect condition I do not regret purchasing this basss, but one of the bad things that I noticed when I was trying to play, was anytime I connected the amp to the base the amp started sounding weird and scratchy. Whenever I tried to put the volume up, the amp would start making some weird noises. But other than that, I love everything else.

I'm only giving 4 stars because I'm not sure of the sound quality. It shipped very quickly. Arrived in a carefully packed box. My daughter gets lots of compliments on the color. She took it to school to tune and play, so I've yet to hear it play. Overall happy with my purchase thus far.

The guitar looks nice and the functionality is solid. However, the pick guard is a printed texture "red pearl" which isn't a big deal. The deal breaker is the mirror-backed plastic piece that covers the volume knob and the cable jack. It looks like metal in the picture (and like every other guitar on the market, cheap or expensive, it should be). This piece of plexiglass is the Achille's heel of the whole rig. You have to hold it down to keep it from flexing too much when unplugging the guitar ...
