I am not a bass player. I am a guitarist that likes to have fun with other instruments. Im also not rich, so spending hundreds on a mediocre guitar just does not make sense. I am also decent at setting up guitars and can do most work on my own. That being said, I did not see this as any risk to myself, buying this bass guitar after seeing several video reviews on it by much better players than myself. I will say that all the comments on this bass from the reviews I have watched... I agree with. ...

I have been a guitar player for 39 years, and always bought guitars based on brand name and hype. Oh, you need to get Brand X, because So and So plays only Brand X. Brand X is the BEST, because Brand X says they are...Blah blah blah. I've got Strats, Les Pauls, and Explorers, but I always wanted to try bass. I shopped around, and grew curious upon finding Glarry on YouTube. I said the same thing that everyone else says. How can a bass that cheap be any more than a piece of firewood and wir ...

Love this bass! Perfect for learning. Personally will be changing out the pickups, but if you just need something to add to your collection or need something to learn on this is perfect!

I'm really happy with this bass guitar! I must admit, I was a little wary due to the price but I wanted a bass to sit in the studio just to lay down some stuff for demos. I bought it expecting it to need some work but was pleasantly surprised. The finish on my bass is absolutely perfect. No flaws in paintwork, no dings. It was spot on. Couldn't be happier. The neck is straight and extremely comfortable to play, even for me who is very much a normal guitarist so used to thinner necks. The fre ...

Sweet sweetness. You can't go wrong. A minor setup is all it took to get this awesome bass playing and sounding great. Broad range of excellent natural tones. This is my studio bass. And if you're a Brand-Name snob...you lose. In the end, all sound gets manipulated. You'll never know what bass was used.only two things matter: the neck (which is smooth and fast) and the pickups (this basswired as a standard jazz) exceeds at doing the job). 5 STARS on quality, price and function. Thank you Glarry ...

I saw this on Allen Brown's YouTube channel (Bully Thakidd), and thought I would see if this bass lived up to the hype. This thing is playable right outside the box. It looks good and sounds pretty. If you wanted to set it up, it would be cake. The neck is thick like a P-Bass, which I don't really mind since I started with a P-Bass. There also seems to be a grounding/shielding problem, but YouTube tutorials could easily walk you through fixing the hum. The gig bag won't protect the bass from har ...

I heard so many good reviews on this affordable bass that I decided to try it. I played guitar and keyboard by ear. No formal training. Wanted to see if I could get some pleasure out of bass. This was what I would consider a good choice for a newbie. The Amp, although small in size give enough depth of sound to use as a home practice instrument and the package is well equipped for a low price. I think it is worth the cost of purchase and I am very happy with the results I am getting. I am 76 yea ...

Really happy with this purchase. The guitar looks great, sounds really good and feels well built and sturdy. Came with a tiny bit of fret buzz on one or two frets, but nothing a 5 minute set-up couldn't fix - and most basses need a little adjustment out of the box so that's to be expected. The head is also a tiny bit heavy in comparison to the body when it comes to overall weight balance - but this is a minor gripe indeed and the bass still plays comfortably and sits well. Will be using this bas ...

neat bass, especially for the money. Dig the neck a lot. Worth the 80 bucks on its own. I was gonna get a 5 string, but i didnt want to wait an undetermined amount of time to get it. But who knows maybe il get one of those too, i 'd dig it in that dark blue

I love this Jazz Bass so much, I'm seriously contemplating selling my Fender Jazz Bass. Seriously. The Glarry G Jazz is just beautiful to look at, comfortable to play, and sounds awesome. What's not to like? I'm a semi retired professional bassist, and I just love playing this guitar. Actins speak louder than words, so here is a link to my You Tube channel where you can see and hear it being played. I'm going to acquire a few more of these Glarry Bass Guitars before the price goes up. What ...

Have been contemplating buying one for a while. Pulled the trigger after many videos and blogs stating it was worth it. Ordered four string jazz with sunburst. Got here within the time frame they said. First glance of opening it, I said wow. It looked great. One thing that was said was it was neck heavy. Upon holding it, it does have some weight on the neck but the body weight was very good, seemed to balance it out. Neck was very smooth on the backside, no burs or knicks making it very quick. Great value at $79. (Glarry got back to me quickly and this is being resolved, for some reason their email went into spam, previous emails didn't, SO CHECK SPAM FOLDERS!) Jack for chord does not work, chord wiggles around. Do not want to void any guarantee. Playing it without an amp for now. Action is great, strings are decent, Finish is smooth and pickups are also decent. Low output but I am sure some concessions had to be made to offer an instrument at this price. I have been a teacher ...

I'm loving my Glarry bass guitar. Thank you I've played various guitars (not very well) for lots of years and I've wanted to get myself a bass for a long time but wasn't keen to spend £100s to give it a go. I looked at second hand but even there, you need to spend quite a bit to get something decent. When I saw the Glarry bass guitars at a price that was worth the risk, I looked more closely. Watching proper bass players play it and do really well, I decided to give it a go. Man, was I in ...

I found this while looking for a bass for my son. I ended up ordering myself one too! The bag, strap, and cord are what you'd expect from a "package" deal. The amp has a fairly small speaker but works perfectly well for practice purposes. Everything is as pictured. I'm not a bassist, but I do play a few instruments (including guitar), and this bass sounds good to me. It also looks amazing! One note about the "Burlywood" finish. It's not just the same unfinished look as the head at the end of the ...

This is my first bass, and I love it. Perfect price for learning the instrument! It comes with strings (that's how beginner I am). Took it to some friends who play professionally and they all agreed that it is a great quality for the price. No problems or defects. Three other friends are planning to purchase this as a secondary instrument (they mainly play keys, drums, etc.).

I am very happy with my jazz bass, for the price, you can't beat it. Straight out of the box it plays and sounds fine, intonation was even close. I'm going to use it as a mod platform, but for my home recording needs, it's good the way it is. I highly recommend Glarry instruments for beginners, people on a budget, or folks like me who love to tinker and enjoy modding guitars without breaking the bank.

This bass is shockingly awesome (for the price). One thing I will note with cheap instruments, is you are ususally reaching into a grab bag of mysteries. You can get a perfectly fine bass that feels great like me, or you could recieve a crappy cable harness, bad pickups, or just outright bad craftsmanship. I can happily say I've experienced none of the badness in the line above. The bass was setup with massively high action when I recieved it, probably for shipping protection reasons. After I g ...

All of these basses (I bought 3) play great and are excellent vehicules for upgrades. It took me 10 minutes to get used to the thicker neck. This was the problem for the Jazz Bass only.

For the price it's a good instrument. Tuners are a little hard to turn, pickups not high output. Not a very resonant bass, strap button fell off I repaired that. Needs setup I'll buy better strings before I do that. Fretboard it dry frets are sharp at ends and not polished. Nut is plastic and sharp ends. Bridge is good. Neck is very heavy not balanced very well. Overall not terrible for $80 but needs work. Fortunately I have lots of experience in the luthier field.

Wonderful company answered my questions before purchasing and when I decided on the GJazz in burlywood it was shipped very fast and got here in great shape. This was my second Glarry and both are exceptional in playability and finish.

I decided 2 weeks ago I wanted to learn how to play a new instrument. For $80, this was a great investment. I'm already having a blast jamming with my bass.
