This guitar had been out of stock for some time, and when they got more in I jumped on it. For the price and including the goodies you get along with the guitar you just can't go wrong. This guitar had been out of stock for some time, and when they got more in I jumped on it. For the price and including the goodies you get along with the guitar you just can't go wrong. I chose the natural finish versus the various painted ones. The finish was a little off on the front as it looks like there was an area that didn't receive as much stain and was a little bare, but I purchased the guitar to be played and not as a work of art. After a quick tune, I put the guitar through the paces. Fret edges were smooth no rough ones, and the action right out of the box was perfect. The strings that come with it are very basic and quite cheap, but again for the price you just can't complain. Strings will be an easy future upgrade, and as good as it sounds with generic strings, I can only imagine the sound quality with a good set of strings. The capo and tuner were great bonus items, that again at the price point you just don't expect. Even with the less that perfect finish, I would absolutely purchase another one of these and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great playing guitar!

I'm writing this because you asked. The two product above are the last items i ordered from Glarry. the guitar is unplayable, someone seem to have tried to file down the frets, the sound is terrible. The guitar case storage is not put together well, the top falls down inside the storage bin. My first order was great, love the strat. however, the last order was not a good purchase. I decided to take my time and try to make these as usable as I can. I rate my first order a 5. the last order 1 star ...

A lot of people have made this statement about Glarry, "It is a pretty good guitar for the price". I've purchased guitars made from cigar boxes that cost more than this. So let's be straight, you get a lot for the money. However, you need to go in knowing what you are buying. If you think you are cheating somehow and getting a mid-range to good guitar, no blemishes and no adjusting, just pick it up and play, you are going to be the person who comes here and leaves a horrible review. So let's be straight, you get a lot for the money. However, you need to go in knowing what you are buying. If you think you are cheating somehow and getting a mid-range to good guitar, no blemishes and no adjusting, just pick it up and play, you are going to be the person who comes here and leaves a horrible review. Don't do that. Put in the work, just like you would do for a used guitar. Oil the fret board, put some decent strings on it, get your relief set right before you start complaining about fret buzz. Even then, there still might be concerns, this is an inexpensive guitar. I had 1 or 2 frets that had some buzz, even with adjusting the truss rod. Do what everyone else does for that. Take it to a shop and get a tune up. You just paid one tenth of what a mid-range guitar cost. Spend a little more to get it set up correctly. Or get crazy and spend like $15 on Amazon and get a fret file and a rocker. Watch some videos, go slow so you don't do real damage, and learn about how to adjust your instrument. However it works out, you will have something that has good tone and you can play this for years while you save up for that kick butt guitar. Especially if this is your first one. Glarry, if you are reading these comments, have your QA clean up the work on your frets and intonation and people will be even more pleased than they are now. The action can be changed easy enough. People are pretty forgiving, but if it sounds wrong, it will drive people nuts. Honestly, if this guitar is any indication of the rest of their products, Glarry is going to get some more of my money as I try out more instruments.

Well, today, my Glarry GT509 41" EQ Cutaway guitar was delivered to me. The box was in good shape so, that was a good sign. I opened the box, removed the guitar and, after a quick inspection, I was suddenly very pleased. I skipped the set-up and just tuned it up and played it a while and I am just amazed at the sound and tone from this instrument. It is awesome! I have owned expensive Fender 12 strings and Fender 6 string acoustic guitars in my long lifetime and, with a little effort in doing a set-up on this guitar, it will play as good as any of those did. The neck (always a concern) is finished well and the frets are level with no exposed sharp ends at all. The flat black color is awesome as well and I was again pleasantly surprised to discover, that along with all of the other extras they included (spare set of strings, 3 picks, optional pick guard, neck adjustment wrench, gig bag, and strap ) there was a 9 volt battery already installed in the battery compartment for the electronics. (You simply need to take out the battery and remove the plastic seal surrounding it) So, 5 out of 5 stars for this guitar and, I am really looking forward to tweaking it a little bit and believe me, the tone of this guitar right out of the box will be very pleasing to you. I am used to very low action on the strings so I will be lowering that a bit but this is a great deal in my opinion and you will not be sorry you ordered one.

A great instrument for the price! Sounds awesome!! Also, I have the Glarry GT501 and one of the best sounding, playing guitars I have ever had. I have purchased two acoustic guitars and will get another from Glarry. I am a professional songwriter, and these are super duper for my composing needs.

Delivery was excellent. I had to do some fret work and setup for string buzz. The guitar looks great and has a sweet sound. It is great to play. I would highly recommend it.

TL;DR: Sounds good; reasonably easy to play; mediocre workmanship; good deal at the price. Not having played for a decade or so, I needed a good practice guitar. This fits the bill. The good news is that it was playable out of the box. The tone is very good and got better after re-stringing with Martin Marquis thin-gauge strings (for the record, I have only used it as a straight acoustic, not plugged in to an amp).The action is a bit high; when I get up to speed and return to my 1966 vintage Epi ...

On the downside, the workmanship and quality is mediocre at best:gaps where the end of the fretboard meets the body; a couple of small gauges in the slot for the bridge (looks like a chisel slipped; a visible gap at one corner of the electric box; rough finish on the body. Basically looks like something home-made. All that said, it's still a screaming bargain at the price, and I have no regrets about buying it.
