Bought the black "Burning Fir" for my 17 yr. old nephew who wants to learn how to play. This is the guitar he picked-out on-line. Sharp looking guitar and after tuning it, he was able to play a few riffs. Disappointed that I missed out on the 'bundle' deal of guitar and amp for $99. Brutally honest review ahead. had I know this was made in China I NEVER would have bought it... HOWEVER... I am VERY impressed with the product for the price. so i just got the burning fire guitar this morning for Christmas, i was actually surprised that it sounded good for a cheap guitar. I know you want to make really affordable guitars but why dont you make more expensive guitars? I mean if you can make a cheap guitar sound this good, why dont you make higher end guitars? I own about 20 guitars of different varieties and cost and this is the FIRST one I have purchased where I could get a genuine "heavy metal sound". I am having a lot of fun with this guitar and would recommend it to anyone of any experience. For $63 how can you not. My GST arrived all in good order. I was missing the gig bag but did not need it anyway. Loved the finish, light weight and neck on this guitar. I agree with all the good reviews on Youtube (disagree with the couple of bad reviews). The nut was cut shallow making it difficult to get the guitar in tune with open chords on the first three frets. This can be corrected easily. Truss rod and intonation were easy to set. 1st time online review about anything but had to say for the price i paid almost a shock and all kind of deal. Obviously the 1 i got was completely playable out of the box. Guitar is beautiful. I purchased it for my son for Xmas. He loves skeletons and skulls. However I found that the frets are each serrated and were never polished plus fret sprout. The other problem is that the shape of the whammy bar is incorrect and curved wrong. A replacement would be appreciated.

I ordered this one on the 15th and received it on the 18th. Good job! I let this guitar sit inside for over an hour to let it come to room temperature, and tuned, top string down. The lower E sting slipped a couple of times, almost popping, feeling like a gear was slipping. I let it sit some more an re-tuned. So far so good. The fretboard is perfect, and smooth, and really feels good.. No sharp edges at all. Slightly bowed, I will adjust to relief one quarter turn, and then let it sit overnight. ...

I was impressed by the quality of the fit and finish. After tweaking the bridge and adjusting for intonation and action, using the strings that came with the guitar, it became a very acceptable guitar to use. This guitar is a great value for the price. The purchase process was easy. The guitar is of good quality, sounds good, and would make a very good first guitar (even though this is something like my 9th guitar). I wanted a Strat-like guitar but could not justify paying for one, since I play mostly acoustics. Great at the price. Out of the box string action was really high and the pickups were almost level with the pickguard, so expect a fair amount of set-up work. I am a complete novice at setting up guitars, but after a few youtube videos and some trial and error it's set-up nicely.

I never recieved it. If you check fed ex it was shipped to the wrong address. I tried to contact multiple times with no success. I am very upset with your customer service.
