My wife is by no means a professional cellist, and only played a little in college, but she wanted to pick it up again so I got her this for our anniversary. She absolutely loves it. It came strung but without the bridge installed, but was really quite easy. A professional would surely have some complaints, but for a beginner or someone on a budget who wants an instrument to practice on, it perfectly fits the bill. It is well-made for what it is and the sound is great.

The body of the cello itself is beautiful. I got the black one and I love it. There are no scratches or imperfections. It's very well assembled. I'm sure it's not the best quality wood, or shaped by any renowned instrument maker, but I feel like it's very nice for the price.

Amazing, more beautiful than I imagined!!! The color of the photo looks a little off due to lighting issues, but trust me, it's really beautiful than the picture! Love it!!! Can't wait to take it to cello lessons on Friday.

Let me start off by saying that I have absolutely no experience playing cello, so I don't have a lot of knowledge of the instrument to compare it to. But I would recommend purchasing this instrument. You know right off the bat that if you purchase this item you are getting what you pay for and it is really well worth it.

I did over tune the A string when I was first getting it in tune, and it broke, so it's a good thing they've included an extra set. The cello sounds good.

Packaging was very well done and shipping was speedy. The cello it self was beautiful, considering the price, I was pleasantly surprised. The strings, bow, and rosin were mediocre at best so I purchased some decent replacements and the sound is now very rich and comparable to a more expensive cello. I am very satisfied as I consider this a perfect purchase for someone wanting to learn to play the cello.

I was a bit worried about the shipping when I ordered, since musical instruments are so delicate. When the box arrived, it had numerous gouges in it, so I was even more nervous (the gouges weren't the seller's fault, of course). However, it was packaged well enough that the cello itself was completely fine.

This is a great first cello/student cello. Delivered quickly, without damage, as advertised. I got the Golden 4/4 for my daughter. I am currently learning to play cello on my own. I was surprised at the quality of the cello for the price. The tone is awesome, when I play a song the tone sounds exactly like the instrument on the instructional C-D. I Would highly recommend the purchase of: A new bow, better rosin, the strings included with the cello are just fine. Overall I am very happy with my purchase, and would recommend it to anyone.
