I was looking for a 5 string to compliment my 4 string bass, what a surprise, For the money this is a great buy. Light weight and impeccable finish and great sound. This bass sounds pretty good for the price, which cannot be beat. I started playing bass back in 2000 but let it go after high school. I decided to pick it back up again this year and when I came across Glarry it reminded me of having to scrape together money from chores and birthdays to buy my first bass and I'm pretty sure I paid more than twice Glarry's price. I'm a bassist with 43 years of experience and I already own 35 basses so I definitely didn't 'need' another bass. I ordered the fretless with no expectations because of such a low price. Upon opening the box I realized this bass looks good. I changed the strings to flatwounds, set the bridge, tweaked the truss rod and it was good to go. Upon unboxing my guitar, the overall appearance of my fretless bass was stunning! The burlywood finish is beautiful and I was well pleased with its light weight. But after tuning the bass, I found it unplayable. I'm a professional musician with 40 yrs experience and have played a lot of different types of music and have owned 40 basses over the years, Fender,Gibson, Warwick etc.I purchased your 5 string jazz bass just to check it out and loved it so much I bought this one 2 days later and plan on buying your fretless. I use this bass for my piccolo strings and it sounds wonderful. I love the feel, it's lite. The only problem was the black Polish sticking to your hands on the fretboard. It will leave prints from you playing, and you can see the polish on your calluses. Overall still a wonderful choice.

This is my first bass guitar. Sounds great, functions well, looks great, I am definitely satisfied. It came with a big chip of wood taken out of headstock which was disappointing but it doesn't affect the playability or sound so I didn't attempt to return it.

I/We now are the completely satisfied owners of two of these guitars. I bought my wife a left handed one a few months back and we liked it so much that I bought myself a righty, even though neither of us had ever played a bass guitar. I also bought her a lefty Telecaster knock off. Amazing playing quality for less than $100 and they are all beautiful instruments. I have a 1966 vintage Vox, a Strat and a Telecaster and the 3 Glarry's make me smile every time I pick one up.

This bass is incredible for the price you pay. I did a little set up on it, and it holds a tune and plays great now. The pickups sound incredible! Almost seems too good to be true, but this instrument really is a winner. Sounds great through an amp, mixer or interface. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I haven't quite been able to get the intonation right on the open G string. Maybe needs some replacement parts or strings to achieve that. It's also obviously not a fender jazz or a nice ri ...

Bought this with upgrading in mind.Got it on a Friday and gigged with it Saturday. No set up straight to the stage. Stayed in tune and sounded like a classic P style bass punchy and growly. The high-end of its tone was distinct and spot on, plenty of bottom with natural wood midrange cutting through the mix. I used it with my Musicman Bongo HS that day.

Just got mine today and it is fantastic! I did some basic setup work and tuned her up and WOW! Great sound and easy playability. The dark blue burst finish is gorgeous and flawless! I'll probably put a set of my favorite Rotosounds on it, but other than that, she's perfect! Great job Glarry!!

Dammed Fantastic! Playable right out of the box, great action. Quality is there, no issues at all. Going to go with tape wound strings but the round wound ones with it are quality. Very pretty too. Fret markers are one the fret line, not between like on fretted basses. Wanted a fretless and there is nothing even close to this price. 5 Stars & a bullet. Thanks!
