This makes Glarry #5 for me. I think they are very good for the price. They sometimes have minor imperfections and need a good set-up but you end up with a playable , decent looking guitar. Some people spend more, (sometimes MUCH more) for one guitar , than I have invested in all 5 of these. Only way a poor guy like me could have this many guitars to play with.

The guitar is a phemonial instrument for the price, I highly recommend for any beginner. I wanted to try a 5 string bass without having to spend hundreds, and this was the perfect guitar for that. I now have two Glarry Basses, and they are a great product. Sadly, the gig bag sent with this 5 string did not fit the guitar at all, I can't use it. I'm assuming it's a generic size. I would love one that actually fit so I can actually take it places. Other than that, great product.

The guitar is beautiful! My husband was so impressed with the quality and workmanship of the actual guitar. The combo deal was a nice idea, but we will have to replace the amp, strap, and cords, due to lack of quality. However, the customer service is out of this world! I had a couple questions about packaging, and received a response almost immediately a couple times. We will definitely be shopping with you directly for our future purchases.

It's a nice guitar for a beginner. When it arrived with the box punctured and battered, I had a feeling something would not be good. It has a great tone, but we noticed that the fixed bridge is unleveled and makes the B-string closer to the frets than the others, which concluded in a buzzing sound. The G-string bridge part was unleveled but didn't affect the tone nor the sound.

Nice little short scale bass. I had it professionally set-up after purchasing it and it plays really well. My daughter loves it and it's a great first bass for her. I wish the amplifier that was sold with it had the same build quality (the amp broke 7 months into ownership, just outside of the 6-month warranty period).

I adjusted the neck it plays pretty well, paint was pretty solid, it was packaged pretty ugly. The gig bag was cheap but the guitar overall sounded and built pretty well. They filed the 6-8 frets down so it clinks when I I strum low e on the 6th fretboard, but overall for the money it was absolutely worth it.

Overall it has been a good guitar for the price. Expect to do some fret dressing and string setup (intonation, action, etc) after changing to new strings. I also sanded the neck with 1000 grit sandpaper for a silkier feel. It is a really good looking guitar and I use it as one of my main practice guitars. My son has also started to play and uses this one quite often.

As a woman in my 70's, I bought this kid's bass after seeing several positive reviews where I could see an adult playing it, who said it could be good for older folks. As a girl who is more on the petite end of the spectrum I can say that this bass works pretty good from a beginners perspective its my first bass and ive been able to reach all the frets just fine. Although its definitely up to a standard far past beginner I have enjoyed its size and weight discounting the non even distribution there of.

EDIT: After playing this bass for a few months I am definitely unhappy with the Active Electronics. While getting an active bass for this price is great--the 9volt is constantly being used even when the bass is not plugged in. Please note you will have to remove your 9volt every time you play this thing so it doesn't die on you while its sitting on the rack. For less than $100, you literally cannot beat it. Had mine for about 2 days now, plays great, sounds great, literally no complaints. Obviously this isn't the cleanest luthier job i've ever seen, i can see glue inside, marks from filing, etc, but if you're spending this little on an acoustic bass, you can't complain. It plays and sounds great, comfortable, and as an intermediate bass player of 10 years, I can actually say I recommend this bass, as long as you aren't paying more than $100.

I received a very playable instrument that is a great start for those interested in trying 6-string bass. The neck was pretty well setup, and the intonation is perfect through the 24-fret. Purchased this for my granddaughter who is already becoming an accomplished musician as she enters High School. She chose this model herself from all of the Glarry products. It is a beautiful guitar which arrived in a reasonable amount of time and in perfect condition. Can't beat the price. I picked this bass up as a take anywhere no worries instrument. I've played it every day since I received it the sound is great. I do have to tune it alot but the strings are new so that's expected. Tuner works great. Action is high but and easy fix. I have yet to plug it in so I'm not sure about the electrical side.

The guitar is great, it sounds great feels great and everything. The guitar can use some better strings however but other than that the guitar is fine. The amp on the other hand not so much, it doesn't have the sound quality it should, especially when being overdriven. Maybe this is because of my playing style etc. The amp most definitely isn't worth it unless you're playing on a clean tone. It's not impossible to use but it won't give you the vibe you think it will in overdrive.

Fun, with surprisingly decent sound for the $ Body (while tiny) is much thicker than it could be - and considerably thicker than most full-sized instruments. Neck and fretboard are well made. Electronics and output jack are sub par.

Had to deepen the nut slots,shim the neck,and adjust string height and intonation but after that,the guitar stays in tune and plays good.its a great value if you can do a little setup work.

I mean, for being one of the cheapest bass guitars on Amazon, it's not bad. But you can definitely tell it's a cheaply made instrument. As others have stated, mine too came with several blemishes, but nothing bad enough to me warrant a return. The tuning pegs are cheap, and I may try and replace them.
