My daughter loves her new violin. The wooden tuning pegs slip, but I think it probably just needs some rosin to hold better. Otherwise and overall, very happy with this purchase.

The Cello itself it gorgeous and I am very happy with however, the bow...The hair is too loose and keeps falling out plus the slide was missing. It also looks like the hair was superglued.

I've never owned or played a violin before I bought this so I can learn with my daughter to keep her interested. I give it 4 stars. I think it was pretty easy to tune but I'm not entirely sure if I did it right but it sounds pretty good. You do have to tighten the bow and rub the hell out of it with the rosin before getting a sound. I've had it less than 24 hours and am adequately playing twinkle twinkle little star.

It made a weird squeaky sound when I played the G string while holding down on the fret. But I started making sure I kept the rosin residue wiped off the string, switched to Jade rosin, and started using the bow like I was taught in Cello Playing for Music Lovers: A Self-Teaching Method, and it disappeared. I love it!

Really great bass for the money - had some minor quibbles, but nothing that wasn't fixable. The edge of the pickguard needed deburring all the way around, and the nut slots were a bit rough. For the price I thought this was a pretty dam good instrument......the fret board is nice..... buzzed at first but the normal raising of this bridge piece worked ....... and i'm buzz free ...the intonation was consistent but I couldn't get the screws to behave in order to bring the notes to the guide dots right where I want them... No apparent manufacturing defects, everything was included, and the bridge was simple enough for someone with no experience to set up (with the help of a single YouTube video). My only complaint is that it can't hold a string in tune for half an hour, but I'm hoping that will get better as I break in the instrument.

I kinda felt duped, as I thought I was buying lacquered tweed for a great deal. Either I was just really stoned or it truly is hard to tell at first, but it does have a vintage kinda vibe, just don't think you're getting real tweed.

The paint/finish work looked pretty good, I did notice sanding scratches on the body under the final finish & one tiny paint bubble that popped & left a pit. I was super happy with the price and speediness of the delivery. This violin is for my 14 year old daughter who is a beginner, so I was looking for an entry-level, inexpensive violin to start. Unfortunately, the bow was warped and couldn't work at all. I contacted Glarry customer service. Again, they were super fast to respond and correct the situation. I will continue to use Glarry for our instrument needs!
