I am giving this 5 stars because for a starter cello it is better than I expected it to be. The strings it came with are not high quality by any means but they are good even to start with. It took about 5 days for the strings to stretch and the whole instrument to settle so it would stay in tune. I used peg dope on the pegs and oiled the fine tuners like I would do to the violins. For a cheap beginner/mod guitar or for a stage played guitar, this guitar is a great purchase. I bought this guitar not really expecting it to be this gold because it's a $110 electric guitar. I was wrong. The guitar is really good quality. It needs setup to be better to play but it is playable right out of the box. The tuning pegs turn very smoothly, as do the volume and tone knobs. The guitar is beautiful! My husband was so impressed with the quality and workmanship of the actual guitar. The combo deal was a nice idea, but we will have to replace the amp, strap, and cords, due to lack of quality. However, the customer service is out of this world! I had a couple questions about packaging, and received a response almost immediately a couple times. We will definitely be shopping with you directly for our future purchases.

Beautiful bass. Electronics are sketchy. The only way to turn the volume down is to turn the tone knob all the way down. The 2 volume knobs for the pickups don't change the volume, but they change the tone. Not happy.

I bought this violin for my son for Christmas. It was very easy to get setup and actually produced a great sound without too much trouble. It is a great choice for a beginner for the price. It's a nice guitar for a beginner. When it arrived with the box punctured and battered, I had a feeling something would not be good. It has a great tone, but we noticed that the fixed bridge is unleveled and makes the B-string closer to the frets than the others, which concluded in a buzzing sound. The G-string bridge part was unleveled but didn't affect the tone nor the sound.

Doesn't seem to keep a tune. We tune it, and then check it, and it's out of tune from when we started, so we tune it again and again. Usually takes 3-4 times to get it to hold. But by the next time my daughter plays it's out of tune again. The peg screws at the neck don't have any thread, they wedge into the holes but they come loose. The music store violin we rent doesn't lose tune anywhere near as often. This was purchased to practice at home. More frustrating than anything.

P.S. Update edit. Glarry refunded me $15 for my troubles which is fine I guess. But after another session trying to tune this violin my anger issues cannot. I've cut my losses and thrown this thing out. It's done and over. I apologized to my daughter, and we're moving on. She'll just stick with the rental. I googled youtube videos and tried a few different tricks. The included tuner doesn't even show the correct notes half the time, and using a downloaded app for my phone provided some consisten ...

So, first and foremost, for a beginner violin, it appears to be of a decent quality for the price. The shipping was very fast as well. This violin is for a student learning to play so this is just ideal. There is one downside to this violin as I recent discovered. This violin only has 1 fine tuner. Attempting to tune this violin with the tuning pegs WILL result in broken strings. Update...violin had the bridge afterall. Didn't realize that the bridge was wrapped in paper under the tail piece. One of the strings easily popped after trying to tune the instrument. Will need new quality strings for this violin.

Arrived in 2 days in perfect condition. Came with EVERYTHING needed to play violin. Violin is full size and sounds great. I cannot speak to the quality compared to higher priced violins however it plays perfectly and is a very cost effective way to begin or try out violin.
