My 2nd Glarry purchase. Very fast shipping, received within 48 hrs of purchase. This GST as expected, at least they shipped the actual guitar I ordered this time. QC problem with tremelo block as with other GST I received. Ball ends of strings do not seat properly in holes. Requires removal a filing holes with a round file. Set up of tremelo and intonation was atrocious, guitar not tunable until these adjustments were addressed. For my purposes these guitars are a good value as long as you are aware what you are getting. I plan to sand and refinish neck with tru-oil, my other one came out fantastic. Frets are surprisingly good, though require some touch up and final polish. Body/paint are good, a couple minor finish flaws that can be fixed. Pickups are being replaced with Wilkinson's. Other electronics okay. Tuners are okay, being replaced with locking tuners. Plastic nut needs some sanding, filing, and graphite. String trees need replacement with roller trees. These guitars are a great base for modifications, much cheaper that most kits, neck and finished body are worth the price alone. I don't see how these are being marketed as beginner instruments, too many issues which take some skill and experience to address before these are playable. As project guitars these are great, I look forward to bass guitars being restocked. With some work/upgraded parts, these make very serviceable, excellent playing guitars which will rival most off the shelf $500 guitars out there for a total investment of $125-$200 depending what you wish to do. These are much lighter weight than most real strats, I find this a plus. Neck is very chunky, another plus for me. Probably not the best neck shape for beginners and small hands.
