Like all other five-star reviews, I am qualifying this as "five stars, for the money". However, there's still a story to tell here. I purchased this guitar with the intention of modding it to the max. Upon receiving it, the ONLY quality defect I could see was that one screw on the switch plate cover was screwed in at an obvious angle. Item keeps saying shipped on 12/23, no record of it shipping. Tracking says still not shipped. Glarry blames UPS, but they say they don't have it yet. Keep getting the runaround via email on both of my items. They charged me right away no problem but no one can tell me why it truly hasn't been shipped. Lame! EDITING to add that again I get a disjointed email from someone blaming UPS for not picking up the order after 12 days. NOT TRUE. SO ANNOYING!

I have just ordered my 6th Glarry Guitar. Five are shown in my history, and one I bought off of amazon, i decided to cut out the middle man. I had a coupon GLARRY5, and I got the discount. you cannot beat a deal like this one. I( just bought an ARTCORE and will compare the two. Customer service is excellent. A couple of minor issues were addressed quickly after I contacted Glarry by email (I sent a message on Dec. 31 and received a reply on Jan. 2 - not bad!). I can't give a meaningful review about the violin itself, since it was a gift for my granddaughter. She's 8 years old, and like the rest of my family, has no experience with stringed instruments. Fantastic guitar for the price! Needs setting up though. To start with a positive, the body was immaculate and the neck was perfectly straight. The guitar worked right away and did not have any electrical issues. As to expect from the price, I needed to dress the frets and file the nut slots. At first, I could not fit the wammy bar. I ordered it on the Sunday before Christmas and received it on Christmas Eve, very happy about that! The bass looks great and plays pretty good! The sound is pretty good too. Definitely worth the price, especially for a lefty! It is light weight yet well balanced for a beginner. Other than a few minor defects in the finish I cannot find any faults. It is very light and comfortable to play. It weighs about half of my Squier Affinity PJ bass, I expected it to have a heavy metal growl to it. Instead it has a nice warm tone. It was literally tune and play. Setup was decent. My guitar rack didn't have the holes for the screws and holders cut into the foam! I had to locate the holes and then cut away the foam to build this, not really what I was expecting and thought initially I had been sent the wrong pieces! (A case of you get what you pay for). Stand works as intended now, and liked the quick delivery.

Bought this for my wife who has always wanted to play the bass. Needed something reliable and good for not a lot of money. Most of the reviews I read were good so I took the leap. She opened it on Christmas and was very pleased. Has already taken several on-line classes and seems to enjoy the ride so far. Amp is pretty small and a little tinny but just fine as a starter given the price. So far very satisfied. Thanks.
