Guitar Body Types

Our Glarry GTL electric guitar bodies come in two types: solid body and semi-hollow body, semi-hollow guitars have a visible “f-holes” located on the front of the body. There are also two types of pickups: Single-Single pickups and Humbucker-Single pickups. The combination of the different pickups and the different body styles is the main reason for their different tones.

Tone Comparison

GTL solid guitar has a brighter and thinner tone and produces more sustain. And solid GTL is less prone to feedback problems.

GTL semi-hollow with humbucking pickups is the warmest-sounding of the three GTL models. It suffers more from feedback issues compared to the solid GTL.

GTL semi-hollow with single-coil pickups has a richer, clearer sound, and feedback is most noticeable when using high gain and high volume.

Music Style Suitability

GTL solid guitar is more versatile than semi-hollow guitars and is suitable for a wide range of styles from country to metal Because it is less prone to feedback problems. This means that it is better suited for high gain genres such as metal and heavy rock.

GTL semi-hollow with humbucking pickups is most associated with jazz and blues, as these styles suit the warmer tones very well. Many guitarists still prefer to play rock music on these semi-hollow guitars though.

GTL semi-hollow with single coil pickups is great for playing country, blues, jazz or pop music, and you'll love its clear, powerful tone.
