This bass is shockingly awesome (for the price). One thing I will note with cheap instruments, is you are ususally reaching into a grab bag of mysteries. You can get a perfectly fine bass that feels great like me, or you could recieve a crappy cable harness, bad pickups, or just outright bad craftsmanship. I would have to say 4.5 stars for the price. What I didn't really like to see was the neck was unfinished, and required a coat of polyurethane to protect it from finger oils and moisture/warping. The nut is plastic and I've had guitars with plastic nuts before but this seems like really cheap plastic. I also didn't like how when moved the guitar rattled a lot and when I unscrewed the pick guard a whole bunch of manufacturing debris fell out. Received my guitar on 10th of June. Delivery was on time. It played well right out of the box however it did have a sizable blemish. Really not a problem as it doesn't affect playability and is not easily seen except by me. Also they a very inexpensive guitars so one doesn't expect perfection. One comment I would like to make is on the color description. I am not sure who Glarry is trying not to offend but the transparent yellow is more like a natural woodtone than yellow so if your expecting ...

While there is no mistake this is an entry level guitar. I was pleasantly surprised upon opening the box. The online pictures did not do it justice. The wood grain is beautiful and the gloss finish well done. And the hardware of decent quality. I feel it would be a great choice for anyone on a budget. Or for some one like myself looking for a guineapig to try modding ideas on. I will no doubt be purchasing another one in the near future.

All of these basses (I bought 3) play great and are excellent vehicules for upgrades. It took me 10 minutes to get used to the thicker neck. This was the problem for the Jazz Bass only.

Wonderful fretless bass with great fingerboard. WARNING: the side dots are positioned as though it we're fretted putting them in the wrong place. This could be a problem to beginners as this bass is probably a starter instrument for most. I used a slotted 34 inch straight edge (used for truss rod adjustment) to put the marks in the correct place. After which the bass was wonderful. I've been assured did they will look into this for future models.

Wonderful fingerboard. No fret sprout. Thinner neck. Bass is much better than expected. Amp is not. Skip the bundle.

I bought the Burlywood version of this guitar and it is spectacular looking and the sound is great! The guitar seems to have a really good amount of sustain. First thing you will need to do after buying this guitar is set the intonation, mine was way off. You may also need to change the strings and clean the neck. This is the best bang-for-the-buck instrument I've ever played. I brought this instrument to band practice. I unboxed it there, tuned it up and played it all night. This is an excellent guitar for the money. Mine arrived in good condition, the finish was perfect. The fretless base required some set up adjustments to the neck relief and string adjustments but that is normal with any base guitar. All in all this is a great value. You can play it like it is or swap out any electronics for upgrades, because of the low price these are great value. I also bought the fretted P Base and it played great right out of the box. I am very happy with my purchase.

Outstanding guitar for the money! The fretwork was top notch, the finish was perfect, and the neck plays fast. When hooked up to an amp and a noise gate, it did have some sort of phasing issue, but that could've been the noise gate. More investigation is required. I would highly recommend this guitar for beginners.
