As I expected! Very good for the price. Great starting point for anyone who wants to jump into bass. However, quality control could have been better. Some of the fret finishing are rough, so when I play for an extended time, I usually get some minor marks or scratches on the palm and fingers. More, some frets are not leveled with the surrounding frets, for example, my 13th frets are higher than the 12th, so when I play G on the 12th fret - G string, I ended up getting G#. That happens at some p ...

Wanted an inexpensive bass and amp to play with my sons (guitar and drummer). Had to make some height adjustments to the strings to get rid of fret buzz. Amp was not working but after opening it up, found a connector unplugged to circuit board and that corrected the problem. Overall satisfied with bass and amp for the price. Can't wait to hear the tone with a better amp - not a lot of low end on this little one, but wouldn't expect anything different.

Bass needed string height adjustment to eliminate fret buzz. Amp did not work. Opened back and found connector unplugged. Overall, satisfied with both for the price.

I've wanted a Jazz style bass for quite a while. Since I'm not a great player (mediocre would be an apt description of my abilities) and bass is not a primary instrument, I did not want to buy anything expensive for my first bass. So, when I saw this at such a price, I could not pass it up this time. I had seen many inexpensive bass guitars with a P/J pickup configuration (split coil neck, single coil bridge, ala Precision bass and Jazz bass respectively) , but I wanted a straight Jazz pickup se ...

Pleased with my basses. Good for the money and they both sound great. Would be a good choice for a beginner.

It was wrapped and packaged perfectly. No marks anywhere. The only problem was the input jack was loose. But most guitars will have the same problem. Put a star washer in and problem fixed. The sound is very good considering the price. I plan on changing the pickups which should sound like my Fender Jazz Bass.

Seriously considered giving this 5 stars ONLY because of the price. For what I paid this is definitely a 5 star bass BUT its not perfect. The tuners feel gritty and may need to be replaced at some point. I even went as far as to lubricate the gears to see if that helps, something I rarely do to any musical instrument. The nut is plastic and feels like the slots could be cut deeper although it still plays well. Ive thought about doing that and get it closer to more of a Fender spec. but since it ...
